Founded in 1972 by a group of local artists, the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art (BMoCA) is one of Colorado's premier venues for exploring contemporary art. At the institutional level, BMoCA provides enriching art experiences for over 100,000 regional, national, and international visitors annually through innovative exhibitions and engaging programs for all types of audiences.

The museum has been a vibrant cultural cornerstone in the greater Colorado art community for the past 50 years. Each year, the museum presents an ambitious exhibition schedule and an innovative series of educational programs. By welcoming diverse aesthetics and perspectives, BMoCA provides an open forum for dialogue and an opportunity to investigate contemporary art through the expression of creative ideas.
